This page contains instructions on how to update the aircraf status
(Form 16 and the WMIRS status) facilities.
on the NMWG web page.
This is the form used to keep track of maintenance events and aircraft usage.
Note there are TWO things you need to update at least on a monthly basis:
These are the basic tasks you can do in the Form 16 facility:
Accessing the Form 16 facility
- Browse to: http://www.nmcap.org/
- Log in (lower left).
- Under "Members Menu" (above right menu), select "CAP Form 16"
You will now be at the NMCAPF16 Admin Interface.
Viewing Status
- Put in as much info as you like on which to sort under
"To View Plane Information or Search for specific information:". Normally you'd
just put in the "N" number of the plane.
- Click on the "Submit Query" button at the bottom.
Adding an Entry
Use this for creating an entry for a new month. Remember you will have to get
all the old numbers (annual, total time, etc.) from the previous month's entry.
- Click on the line "To Add Plane Information", on the "Click Here" text.
- Select the aircraft, and specify the desired date in the
"Month Entered" and "Year Entered" blanks.
- Select the desired "Aircraft Status".
- Fill in the blanks.
When you're finished entering numbers, fill in the "Password" at the bottom
and click the "Add Record" button.
Updating an Entry
Use this for fixing a previous entry, not for creating an entry for the next month.
- Click on the line "To Edit Plane Information", on the "Click Here" text.
- Enter the password (see your maintenance officer for this).
- Select the Aircraft, month, and date of the entry you need to change.
- Click on "Search for Your Record" at the bottom.
The desired record should be displayed and you can change the entries you need
to change.
When you're finished with the changes, click the "Edit Record" at the
bottom.
WMIRS aircraft status
Now you need to update the aircraft status and times. You can do this
during the month as well when the status of the aircraft changes.
- Log into WMIRS at
https://ntc.cap.af.mil/login.htm
- On the lower left under Quick Links, click on "Aircraft
Status and Support Resources"
- Click on one of the Aircraft Status links. I'd suggest the red "Update Aircraft Status" because it seems to list only the aircraft in our state.
- Update the desired entries. Put the current tach, 100 hr due and 50 hr due times in the Comments block.
